The vinyl "Holz" is the first release of the series "live @home" by Station
Rose, where current audiorecordings of the live-multimedia webcasts at <http://www.stationrose.com>
are released.
The 3 tracks are abstract electronic dance music, influenced
by acid house, featuring sinister stringvibrations, unusual metrics (waltz!),
as well as mellow fusions of Easy Listening, relaxed Drum and Bass and Elektro.
And you can dance to it !

- Die Vinyl "Holz" ist der erste Release aus
der Serie "live @home" der Station Rose, in welcher aktuelle
Mitschnitte der Multimedia-Live-Sessions im Internet (auf <http://www.stationrose.com>)
veröffentlicht werden.

- Der erste Track, "Holz", ist ein schnelles
und aggressives Technostueck mit Acideinflüssen, filtermodulierten
verzerrten Loops und einer durchgehaltenen treibenden Roland MC-202, mit
einem gesyncten Analogsynth, der durch einen Gitarrenverzerrer geschleift
wurde.
- Liegt es an der Wiener Herkunft der Station Rose, dass
dieser Track, metrisch gesehen, ein (sehr zeitgemaesser) Walzer ist ?
- Der Track "Minipfeil" startet mit einer unheilverkuendenden
Streicherschwebung, und die bald darauf losgetretene Lawine an 303-Lines,
synkopierten, gesampelten 909-Drums, treibenden, perlenden Analogsynth-Arpeggios,
sowie die durchgehend duestere Atmosphaere tragen nicht gerade dazu bei,
die aufgeheizte Stimmung zu entspannen.
- Dafuer ist der letzte Track, "Alice" (eine
Hommage an die Jazzkomponistin Alice Coltrane), eine ausgewogene und harmonische
Fusion aus Easy Listening, Drum & Bass für Erwachsene und Elektro.
"Alice" ist eine Auskoppelung der aktuellen Station Rose CD "Playing
now".

- The first track, "Holz", is a fast and aggressive techno
piece influenced by acid house, with modulated distorted beats, a pulsating
Roland MC-202 and a synced analogue synth, which has been filtered through
a guitar distortion pedal.
- Is it the influence of Station Rose´s Viennese origin that
this track in fact is a (contemporary) waltz ?
- The track "Minipfeil" starts with a sinister stringvibration,
and the breaking loose of 303 basslines, syncopated sampled 909 drums,
driving arpeggios of analogue synths, as well as the continuous dark atmosphere
do little to calm down the situation.
- As opposed to the other tracks, the last one, "Alice"
(a hommage to jazz composer Alice Coltrane), is a mellow and more peaceful
fusion of Easy Listening, relaxed Drum and Bass and Elektro. "Alice"
is taken from the new CD "Playing now" by Station Rose.
